Service park: regulations and shared parking space requests
The service park for the upcoming 6 hours of Kortrijk is located at Schouwburgplein, Waterpoort, the Dolfijnkaai, the Casinoplein, around the courthouse, the Graanmarkt, and Jan Palfijnstraat.
Given the limited space and the issues of rallying in a city center, strict adherence to the following guidelines and regulations will be enforced.
Guidelines for the service park:
- Maximum of 2 service vehicles per participant.
- Teams with multiple participating vehicles must contact the organization in advance.
- No trailers are allowed in the service park (these will be placed in the parking lot of the Kien).
- Use of impermeable service foil (4 meters x 3 meters) is mandatory.
- Respect the residents and their homes.
- Waste containers are provided in the service zone. In consultation with the police, fines will be issued if a team fails to dispose of their waste in the container.
- A maximum speed of 30km/h is enforced, and this will be strictly monitored.
- At all times, a passage of at least 4 meters must be respected. This will be checked by the fire department.
- Barbecues with open fire are strictly prohibited in the service park.
- For refueling at commercial fuel pumps, there is a free choice this year. All gas stations on the connecting roads may be used. If refueling with own fuels, it must be done in the designated refueling zone. The fuels must also be stored there and may not be brought into the service zone.
- For each participating vehicle, a powder fire extinguisher of 6 kilograms with the corresponding pictogram will be placed at the service stand.
Failure to comply with the above guidelines may result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
